Lexmark’s Line of New Printers

The Lexmark manufacturing brand recently unveiled a line of 7 new printers hitting the market, designed to appeal to small and medium sized businesses.  These printers feature all-in-one technology, with one of the major features being the fact that these printers can connect directly to the Internet themselves.  When you combine that with the fact that this new line of Lexmark printers can offer the lowest per-page cost of printing with black ink, you will find that these new printers make a great investment for any office or personal setting. The 105XL ink cartridges will provide the highest amount of ink for the lowest possible price, retailing for around $6.99 per cartridge.  This is much lower than nearly any other ink cartridge currently available.  This Lexmark line will also offer Eco-Mode, which automates two-sided printing.  You should easily be able to conserve on your paper consumption when you begin to print on both sides of the paper.  This can result in the highest level of savings, which is particularly important in today’s economic settings.

Printing Alternative: Continuous Ink System

The continuous ink system or CIS is a said to be a cost-effective alternative to replacing your inkjet printer cartridges, which, at some point, will always run out. Other terms that refer to CIS are continuous flow system (CFS) or bulk feed system. The way we look at it, having the system supply your printer with ink can be likened to having your home printer have extra high-yield printer cartridges – something that only big, heavy duty, office printers usually have.

Better Web Printing With The Printliminator

There are a few ways out there to print only the part of a Web page that you want printed (thus avoiding the waste of paper and the aggravation of not getting the part you want on the printed page); but The Printliminator is the best and easiest way I’ve seen so far. Simply drag the tiny application into your Bookmarks (I tried it on Firefox and it took about two seconds); then, when you click on that bookmark, you’ll get a handy four-panel icon on the screen that will enable you to remove all graphics or whatever elements you don’t want to come out on the page.

Will Merging Computers and Printers Help HP?

Long considered one of the leading resources in the world regarding computer technology, Hewlett-Packard recently announced a decision to merge their computer and printer departments, hoping that by combining resources, they can cut back on their spending.  This merging will allow for both computer and printer production to still be moving forward, although only time will tell how successful this merging may be.  This has happened once before in HP history.  These two divisions were merged in 2005, although this merger only stayed active for a few months.  When a new head took over HP, these departments were separated once more.

Whack an Old Printer for a Dollar!

No, you are not dreaming – that title is saying exactly what you think it is. According to a quick feature on Fox News, students, faculty and staff at the Purdue University were given a chance to whack computer equipment – monitors, printers and other such things – to smithereens. Whether it is to vent some inner anger or an expression of frustration with technology, donors were given 30 seconds to use a sledgehammer against a poor old computer or printer at the Engineering Hall for the really affordable price of a dollar last Friday.

The Espresso Book Machine Is an Innovative New Printing Approach

An Espresso book machine is built out of the frustration that arises when a person sets out to buy a book only to find that it’s no longer available from the retail store.  While that book can be ordered, it can take quite a long time before it’s ready and this can cause problems.  To get around this, a bookstore may wish to invest in the Espresso book machine, which is a relatively new phenomenon to hit the market.  Although it is an expensive investment, costing around $100,000 per unit, the Espresso could be able to provide immediate satisfaction to any customer. This is because the Espresso book machine features 1.6 million different titles in its database.  Each of those titles can be immediately printed out and bound from the machine itself at a very low cost around one cent per printed page.  The Espresso will also be able to print books up to 830 pages long, which should satisfy most consumers looking for a particular book.  The unit is incredibly fast as well, with an average printing time of around 4 minutes for a 300 page book.

Refilling Ink Cartridges Can Save A Great Deal of Money!

One way that printer companies get your extended business is by selling you printers that can only work with their particular brand of ink.  You could purchase the printer itself for a rather cheap rate and then end up paying for it in the long run every time you need to replace the ink cartridge.  One way around this is to find locations which refill your existing cartridges with ink.  This is one cheap and efficient way to save, as most ink cartridges can be refilled for over 50% less cost than an original manufactured cartridge would run. Finding the brands and cartridges which allow for this, however, can sometimes be a challenge.  Not every brand’s ink cartridge will allow for refilling, however, which can sometimes be a tricky thing to figure out. The best place to do this would be through a business which refills ink cartridges for you.  They will be able to tell you if they have the proper equipment to refill the cartridges and from there, you can easily begin to save a great deal of money whenever you need to resupply your printer

When you try and search for stuff to read concerning printers and printer ink cartridges, you will not only find legit and totally predictable stuff such as printer reviews and posts related to energy consumption and the environment; you may also find a thing or two where printers and printer cartridges suddenly play a rather unexpected role. We have heard about politicians throwing printers off the table, or being taken under cover of night from the office of rival groups – and now we found one where the innocent printer cartridge – and empty ones at that – was caught in the middle of a lawsuit
