RIM Buys Documents To Go, As DataViz Ceases Support for webOS [BlackBerry] Thought to be snapped up by RIM after CrackBerry.com heard from sources (and spied LinkedIn profiles of DataViz employees now listing themselves as RIM employees), it’s not yet known whether DatViz’s Documents To Go will continue to be supported for Android, iOS and Maemo. They’ve already announced development is ceasing for webOS.

Ask any Google Wave user and they will confirm that Wave is a very useful tool for working in collaboration on projects. It’s powerful, fast and has a host of superb features. So, why did Google announce yesterday that they were ceasing development of Google Wave? Android users can relax again, in the knowledge that the Android OS is just as safe today as ever; despite yesterday’s incorrect reports of a malicious app that was on millions of Android users devices! Yesterday, the blogosphere was full of stories about an Android wallpaper app , which was reportedly collecting sensitive user data and sending it off to a server in China. LookOut (the firm who reported this supposed security problem) has since issued a statement saying that in fact, the app was NOT showing any malicious behaviour.
HDC-TM650: Panasonic Announces Another (Japan-Only) 3D Camcorder
Panasonic caused a splash in the blogosphere yesterday when it announced the world’s first consumer 3D camera, the HDC-SDT750 , for the American market (release in October). The device was announced [JP] today in Japan as well, but Panasonic made some changes. And it showed another model, too, the HDC-TM650 (pictured), which hasn’t been announced for other markets thus far.

I recently reviewed the Toshiba Camileo H30 , a functional camcorder with a traditional body style, and concluded that these would continue to sell for a few more years just on the strength of being familiar objects.
Toshiba Storage Device Division has released a new line of 2.5” mobile drives . These 7200 RPM SATA drives are designed for the more demanding user and are optimized for “demanding performance, power consumption, and durability requirements.” Three total drive lines have been released, each offering a slightly different role in small-form-factored computing. There’s the MKxx61GSY, which is made for high-end notebooks, gaming machines and mobile workstations.
