Control your DSLR with a Nintendo DS
Open Camera Control is a project from HDRLabs to build a custom cable to interface your DSLR with a DS. The OCC project arose from our need to shoot HDR images for film production using Canon cameras. Canon has stubbornly chosen to stick to its standard 3-shot method for bracketing shots – one metered shot and two additional shots one or two stops above and below the metered shot.

The moment MacBook Pro fans have been expecting might be even closer than we think. We already know that Apple’s famous laptop line is going to get the new 2010 Intel Core i5/i7 chips this spring, but today we got word that Apple might have leaked pricing details not only for the MacBook Pros but also for MacBook Airs and Mac Pros. From what we can see in the picture above it all looks pretty genuine although we did see various fake leaked pictures before so we know better than to absolutely believe everything we see.

Thanks to Microsoft’s MIX10 conference held this week in Las Vegas we now officially know that the HTC HD2 will not get Windows Phone 7 since it doesn’t correspond with Microsoft’s hardware requirements for the new mobile platform. We also heard that a certain HTC HD3 is in the making , but such a phone, although it is said to run Windows Phone 7 when it will be launched, might not be the one we showed you the other day.

It’s now been confirmed that the successor to the Samsung Jet, known as the Samsung Jet Ultra, is set to become available exclusively on the O2 network within the next couple of months (as yet no specific date has been confirmed). The 3G Samsung Jet Ultra, which measures in at 108.9 x 53.5 x 11.9mm and which runs the TouchWiz 2.0 UI, is powered by the same 800MHz processor as the original Jet and comes with a 3.1” WVGA (480 x 800 resolution) AMOLED touchscreen display, a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, 4x digital zoom and both Smile Detection and Blink Detection technologies, and as well as offering broad social networking support

ViewSonic have announced that their latest forays into the mobile computing market, namely their VNB132 ViewBook and VNB141 ViewBook, have now hit retail in the US with pricing coming in at $649 and $829 respectively. Billed as being designed to ‘meet every individual’s computing needs’ the new ViewSonic VB141 ViewBook, which comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (specifically a ULV SU7300) under the hood, sports a 14” display, 2GB RAM, a 250GB hard disk, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam whilst, in terms of connectivity, you can factor in WiFi (802.11b/g/n), VGA and HDMI outputs and 2 USB ports.

Spring Design Alex eReader Now Available [Android Based Alex eReader with Dual Display Hits US for $400, 3G Alex to Follow]
Spring Design have confirmed that their Android based, dual screen eReader, known as the Spring Design Alex, is now available to order in the US via their own web portal. The Spring Design Alex, which comes with a 3.5” touchscreen LCD paired with a 6” EPD display – the former allowing for web browsing, the latter for displaying eBook pages (though both can be used simultaneously with the Alex’s ‘Touch and Extend’ facility – comes with 2Gb of integrated storage capacity whilst, in terms of connectivity, you can factor in both WiFi and a USB port. There’s no 3G connectivity on offer with this particular model but Spring Design have confirmed that a 3G touting Alex will be made available later this year.
