Microsoft will begin charging for its Windows Azure cloud service today, according to InformationWeek , after a month-long free public beta that let prospective customers get a feel for the service and an idea of what the charges would be. Microsoft is offering two basic pricing models: a “consumption” option that lets users pay for the exact amount of resources consumed, and a “commitment” option that offers discounts in six-month-long contracts

Wi-Fi iPad in late March, 3G iPad in April Apple has announced that the Wi-Fi model of its iPad media tablet will go on sale in the UK in “late March”. The 3G Apple iPad will be available in the UK sometime in April. Apple has not yet released its UK iPad pricing.
