The road to Maker Faire: Michael Wood
This year, in the lead-up to and during the Faire, we wanted to gather together a little ad hoc community of makers who are presenting at the event and ask them to do some posts for us. We want you to be able to look over their shoulders to get a sense of what’s going into their preparations, and through their minds — what they’re psyched about, nervous about, what they’re excited to see at the Faire

Apparently, no one in comedy group The Station was able to get the game working when they were kids. Did you have any success? I don’t think I’ve ever actually played the game, but can attest to having seen a working life-sized version at Maker Faire : In true parody form, they also have a making-of video

Paypal versus Google Checkout
With the scams that plague online transactions these days, it is of utmost importance to ensure the safety and reliability of the online payment methods we use. Most would like to avoid entering their credit card or debit card information every time they make an online purchase to minimize the risks. Two common third party processors that effectively shield customer information from retailers are Paypal and Google Checkout.
