Ubuntu 10.04 crashes with user accounts

On my Dell 1501 notebook, the user account is flaky. The shutdown button will disappear from the panel. The wifi will stop working. Ubuntu 10.04 will freeze up at times. Therefore, I had to do something. Unfortunately, the solution is not one that is likely to please everyone. Every user must have an administrator account
