A new Fatwa?

Extract from http://sg.news.yahoo.com/afp/20100530/tap-indonesia-health-tobacco-children-aeccaac.html “In the absence of tough government regulations Muslim clerics recently issued a fatwa against smoking. But analysts said the religious edict was likely to have about as much effect as regulations banning smoking in bars and restaurants, which are widely ignored.” In the Name of God, The Most Gracious, The Most Compassionate… The above is just one of the many things I am simply unable to accept. No, I am not addicted to smoking.

Luxury storage masters LaCie have introduced a new drive (well, drives) intended for maximum data protection and connectivity. Inside that forbidding black box are two hard drives, and every bit that’s written to one is written to the other in true RAID 1 fashion

Ah yes, this guide to 3D capturing and viewing technologies is most comprehensive

I’ve been thinking of writing up a post detailing the different viewing methods for 3D TV/gaming/cinema and their various strengths and weaknesses, but it looks like that won’t really be necessary. Cyberlink has put together a really nice and very detailed guide to pretty much everything the end user needs to know about 3D. If anything, they err on the side of objectivity.
