Try That Technique FAUX DESIGNER PAPER
Good morning stampers! It’s Try That Technique Thursday where Diana Enns and I challenge each other to use an older technique from the TJ newsletter . This week the challenge was to create Faux Designer Paper from the December 2008 issue. Pat has a sale on 2008 issues which you can read over at the Design Junkie blog. This technique is fun for me because I like the ability to create my own backgrounds. Starting with a clean stamp table, I find myself surrounded by lots of stamp pads, sponges, heat embosser, and stamps; leaving me at 12″ x 12″ spot to create. I beat you do the same thing, eh? My paper took me in the direction of shabby chic, so I created a shabby chic image for the card front. I lightly misted water onto my stamp pad, coloured my stamp with watercolour crayons, misted the stamp again, and then stamped the image out.

Hosting a blog, wiki, or other CMS on a free webspace with PHP support but no database
Some free webspaces can support PHP. Unfortunately, there are very few that support a database. SQLite is a flat file database.

I am sure for those of you who are running OneNote 2010, even the RTM version (lucky MSDN folks), when you go to the Backstage you are pretty disappointed by this screen: I have seen a bunch of questions on the newsgroup/forums where people are asking why this is still unavailable and when it will be available. The latest issue of MAKE, Volume 22, contains an automated chicken coop door opener project, by Alan Graham (Portland, OR). Miley Cyrus Debuts Mature Look in ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ Video
The music video for Miley Cyrus’ “Can’t Be Tamed” is out tonight and it’s a Gaga Lite production, with a glammed-up Cyrus in the role of “the rarest creature on Earth, Avis Cyrus” (presumably a reference to the Latin word for bird, not the rental car company). Cyrus wears a bunch of flashy costumes (including a $25,000 corset ), performs some surprisingly appealing choreography, and really, really wants us to know that she’s not Hannah Montana anymore.
